We Wanna Be Country

I have always admired the country life-style and have always be jealous of those who get to live it.  I was raised in a suburb and now live in the city with my hubby .  Nonetheless, we both have continually had the dream to live on a farm growing our own food and having lots of kids and creatures.  It seems that we both want this so much that we have decided to go after it.  Maybe not on a large scale, like going out and purchasing a piece of land, but definitely on a small scale by starting to change our clothing and home decor .

My husband and I have wanted to buy Ariat riding boots since we traveled to Colorado and got to go horse back riding.  Everyone out there was wearing them and spoke nothing but fantastic things about them.  So we finally each bought a pair as a present to one another .  My boots have a tiny bit of color on them, but my husband’s boots are just plain brown.  He doesn’t like to stand out as much as I do.  What he does not know is that I secretly ordered each of us Resistol hats.  I think he is going to love it!

Like I mentioned before, we have started to alter our house decorations as well to reflect a more country lifestyle.  We painted all of the rooms in our house in warm earth tones.  I also invested in getting a lot of wooden decorations .  So far I am loving how my house is looking .  I cannot wait to complete the transformation.  What I really cannot wait for is to have a bunch of children that will be able to help my husband and I run the ranch , whenver we buy it that is.  I also can’t wait to buy a horse, because horses are not only my favorite animal but I will need one to get around on my perfect ranch .  It will be incredible !
